To completely uninstall MySecretFolder, it's not enough to simply delete its program files from the installation folder. To completely remove MySecretFolder from your computer, follow the instructions below.

IMPORTANT: If your computer is configured for several user accounts, login into the same user account that you were logged in when you installed MySecretFolder. If you use Windows XP Fast User Switching, log off from all other accounts before trying to uninstall MySecretFolder.

NOTE: If you have enabled the stealth mode of operation of MySecretFolder, press the hot key combination and choose to unprotect the folder before continuing.

Method 1

Click on the Start button at the bottom of your screen, choose Programs - MySecretFolder - Uninstall from the menu, and follow the instructions.

Method 2

Open Windows Control Panel, open the Add/Remove Programs item and use it to uninstall MySecretFolder.

You will need to enter your Master Password before the uninstaller utility would let you proceed. This is necessary to protect MySecretFolder from being removed by unauthorized users. If you forget your password, use the Emergency Recovery Utility to reset it.

You may also be prompted to restart your computer, in order to deactivate MySecretFolder and release the files that are currently in use by Windows, before the uninstallation can be performed.
