Use this page to select miscellaneous options of Folder Guard. This page contains the following areas:
If checked, this option allows Folder Guard to display the splash screen with information about Folder Guard at its startup. If you don't want to see the splash screen at startup, clear this option.
If checked, this option forces Folder Guard to display the full path of the FGA file being edited in its title bar. If cleared, only the name of the file is displayed in the title bar.
If checked, this option forces Folder Guard to automatically expand the folders that have items with non-default attributes on Folder Guard startup (or when opening an FGA file). This option has the same effect as the View - Expand/Compact command.
If this option is checked, then whenever you create a new active FGA file, Folder Guard automatically assigns the Visible and Full access attributes to the system folders on your computer. You may wish to turn this option off to prevent Folder Guard from scanning the root folders of the drives and thus speed up the startup process of Folder Guard.
If checked, this option causes Folder Guard to periodically connect to our web site to check for the availability of a newer version. If this option is not selected, then Folder Guard will display a message reminding you to check for the updates manually.
