Folder Guard® Editions
-
Where are the evaluation versions?
-
The installation files offered for download from this page are the full versions that can be used for free during the first 30 days. You can use the 30 free days to evaluate the software.
-
Which edition should I download?
-
The answer depends on the version of Windows that you use:
If you use a 32-bit version of Windows Vista, XP, 2000, then choose the 32-bit or the Professional edition.
If you use a x64 (64-bit) version of Windows Vista/XP x64, then choose the x64 or the Professional edition.
If you dual-boot your computer between a 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows, then you may want to choose the Professional edition (or use the 32-bit and x64 editions as necessary).
If it is Windows Me/98/98SE, or NT4.0, then download the Classic edition.

I have already purchased Folder Guard 32-bit Edition, and now I have upgraded to Windows x64. Do I have to pay for Folder Guard x64 Edition again?
-
No, you don't have to pay again. The upgrades from the XP to the x64 edition (and back) are subject to our standard upgrade rules: if your one year of free upgrades has not expired yet, then you are welcome to sidegrade to the other edition free of charge: simply use the same license key to make the other edition registered, and that's all. If your one year of free upgrades has already expired, you can upgrade (at a discount) by visiting our online Upgrade Center.
For other editions, we offer the upgrade discounts. For example, if you have purchased the Classic edition of Folder Guard for your Windows 98/Me computer, and later upgraded to Windows XP, you can upgrade to Folder Guard 32-bit, x64, or Professional Edition paying only a fraction of its price. Please visit our online Upgrade Center, enter the license key for the edition that you have into the form, and the next page will show the upgrade options available to you.
